Playtop impact-absorbing surfacing is known for being used in ambitious installations across the world. A recent project by TASCO, Playtop's licensee for the Middle East, is no exception, with Playtop safer surfacing forming the foundations for an engaging and creative play area.
At the King Abdulaziz Center for World Culture in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia, TASCO was commissioned to create a colourful playground for the interactive Children's Discover Zone.
The installation forms part of a high profile project owned by Saudi Aramco, the world's biggest oil refinery company. The Center for World Culture is an iconic building that consists of an impressive museum and cultural centre that combines the Kingdom's history with its future – one of developing skilled and creative people who will propel it to a bright and prosperous future.
TASCO used 600m2 of Playtop safer surfacing as the base for the playground for the Children's Discovery Zone, comprising of a mixture of intricate shapes. Colours used included Bright Green, Blue, Eggshell, Bright Yellow, Grey, Dark Green and Water Blend.
Sam Geha, owner of TASCO, stressed the complex nature of the installation: "The design was very complicated but our team did a good job here, we used profiles to make the shapes and to ensure absolute precision. Fortunately, we didn't face any problems with the process and all went well, with proper coordination and expertise."
The installation took 30 days to complete from start to finish and further adds to Playtop's growing portfolio of world-class installations across the globe.
