Multi-use Games Areas

Many children’s playgrounds have run-about areas without fixed play equipment where a variety of games and activities can take place.  Under the new European Standard there is no requirement for impact-absorbing surfacing here.

None the less, surfacing the area with Playtop^® has many benefits. The resilient surface is much softer and less abrasive than macadam and will minimise damage to knees and hands when children fall over.  And unlike grass it can never become bare or muddy.

The many colour options offered by Playtop^® also make it possible to add pictures or designs to the playground and to mark out games such as hopscotch or quoits in bright, permanent colours.
