Other Applications of Playtop^®

In addition to its primary function as an impact-absorbing surface installed beneath playground equipment, Playtop^® has found many other applications where a continuous resilient surface is wanted. Its wear resistance, porosity and sound dampening are other valuable properties.

In these applications the full impact-absorbing characteristics are not usually needed, and the surface is normally installed with a 20mm top layer only.

• Playtop^® is very widely used for run-about areas of playgrounds without fixed equipment, where a variety of games and other activities take place. Click Here for more information.
   
• Playtop^® is ideal for use on surfaces where falling over could be particularly dangerous: for example on paths and patios at hospitals, hospices and homes for the elderly or for children.  It is also used in prisons, military establishments – and zoos. Click Here for more information.
