Playtop^® Walkway for PATHS, PATIOS etc.

Playtop^® Walkway forms a continuous, joint-free surface which can be laid in any shape, either on a purpose-built base or over existing macadam or concrete. It is made from rubber granules and binders which are mixed on site and installed by our own highly skilled teams to ensure the highest standards of quality and consistency.

The surface is resilient, comfortable to walk on and sound-absorbing. It is extremely tough, and requires very little routine maintenance. After accidental damage or vandalism, localised repairs are quick and easy.

Playtop^® Walkway is available in black, red or green as standard, ideal for differentiating areas or blending in. Other colours or colour combinations can be supplied to special order. The surface is free-draining if the base is also porous.

In an unusual application, Playtop^® impact-absorbing surfacing has been used in the reception and on the lead up to the Thomas Cook.com division at the Thomas Cook Business Park in Peterborough (top right).

Architects Bluebottle Designs, London, commented ‘We wanted visitors to experience a contradictory feeling from the moment they entered the building. Charles Lawrence's Playtop surfacing met the criteria perfectly, looking like asphalt, but giving a slightly springy sensation underfoot.’
