Representatives from companies across the globe congregated in Manchester recently to attend an international conference hosted by Playtop Limited, part of the Charles Lawrence Group. From Ireland to Thailand, Playtop licensees from over twenty countries were represented at the meeting.
Since the first Playtop® surface was laid in 1976, the Company has led the way in the design and installation of impact-absorbing surfacing. Over a million square metres of Playtop® have now been laid around the world. It is the only company of its kind to have such an extensive network of international licensees and has recently added new licensees in Thailand and Portugal.
During the two-day conference, delegates were updated on the latest developments including an exciting new agreement with Nike to incorporate ground up old sports shoes and rubber leftover from the manufacturing process in Playtop surfacing. Whilst at the conference, which was held at the Old Trafford Stadium, delegates had the opportunity to see where Playtop®, incorporating Nike Grind, has been used around the pitch and in the players’ tunnel. They also had a personal tour of the Stadium and met Sir Bobby Charlton.
Playtop is continually looking for new licensees in countries where it is not yet represented. For further information, call Barry Baker on +44 (0)1636 615868 or email him at barry.baker@playtop.com or apply on-line by clicking [here].
