PLAYTOP® AT THE GUGGENHEIM MUSEUM IN BILBAO!

One of the largest public playground sites in Spain has chosen Playtop® as its preferred surface.  The 3,500m2 site is situated in the Abandoibarra Park, alongside the Guggenheim museum in Bilbao.  The project incorporates three different sections for various age groups and it is here that Playtop’s continuous impact-absorbing surfacing has been chosen. 

The surface has been designed in subtle shades of earth yellow, red and beige, and has been used to provide extra play value and impact-absorbing safety beneath the Kompan and Corocord playground structures.

The ability to incorporate intricate designs and use of colour were the main reasons that Playtop® was chosen and its ability to fit in well between the many architectural structures surrounding it.  One of which is the Guggenheim museum located in the centre of Bilbao.  Representing an amazing construction feat the museum uses blocks of limestone interconnecting with curved and bent forms covered in titanium, whilst glass curtain walls provide the building with the light and transparency it needs.
